The Brass Rail, in O'Fallon, hopes to set a new record this year for its annual Thanksgiving tradition by feeding 1,000 of the area’s needy, according to a press release.
The restaurant is seeking organizational partnerships as well as monetary and food donations to help reach this goal.
“I'm so lucky to have the amazing support of the community every day that I want to give back when I can,” said Scott Ellinger, restaurant owner. “Last year, we were happy to feed 175 people, but I really feel if we can get the word out, we can blow that number out of the water.”
