Sam Stanisz took over as sous chef at The Root Restaurant & Bar this week.
A graduate of Schoolcraft College, Stanisz holds a degree in culinary arts and has spent two years training under The Root’s executive chef, James Rigato, to master every area in the kitchen. With eight years of experience in the food service industry, this is her first sous chef position.
A Michigan native, like Rigato, the two also have a common interest in the outdoors and share a love for music, making Stanisz the perfect addition to The Root management team.
