Future Culinary Stars Face Off in New Mexico

ABQ Works Here

The New Mexico ProStart Invitational was held today, where culinary and management teams from over 35 schools from around the state competed at the Isleta Resort and Casino south of Albuquerque.

In attendance was Andrew Mathis, who directs Albuquerque Mayor R.J. Berry's Running Start for Career Program.  The program allows Albuquerque high school juinors and seniors to earn college credit while considering a variety of career options towards which they can work.

The New Mexico Restaurant Association will soon begin a partnership with the city.
