In the most unlikely of places, the concept of Tallahassee’s new Filipino restaurant was born.
Real Sarap, located at 435 West Tennessee St., became an idea as four nurses from Tallahassee Memorial Hospital bonded over food from their homeland. Mary Jane Banes-Egina, Nerissa Santillana, Alice Macalacad, and Nerissa Vitug would share dishes such as pork adobo and chicken inasal.
