Excerpts from the Restaurant Neighbor Award Recipient

“The tagline for Jim Noble Restaurants is a mere four words — Noble Food & Pursuits — but it says volumes about the man and his quest.

As the founder of the not-for-profit King’s Kitchen in Charlotte, NC, chef and restaurateur Jim Noble is feeding the hungry, ministering to the poor and inspiring legions of others to help in his efforts to transform lives.

Founded in 2008, King’s Kitchen is an upscale ‘New Local Southern Cuisine’ restaurant where 100 percent of the proceeds go towards feeding people and helping them get off the streets and back on solid ground.

Last year King’s Kitchen delighted thousands of guests with such tempting favorites as Aunt Beaut’s Cast Iron Fried Chicken, Stone Fisheries Fried Flounder, Grilled Meatloaf, Shrimp and Grits, Grilled Salmon, and Pot Roast — serving up more than $48,000 to aid the less fortunate in the process.

Noble owns and operates three other for-profit restaurants in and around Charlotte that have been widely praised and embraced — Noble’s Grille and two Rooster’s Wood-Fired Kitchens, with plans for more.

King’s Kitchen serves between 100 and 300 people for lunch daily and dinner covers an average 100.”
