Meet Malaika Marks

Malaika Marks is a United States Air Force Veteran, a military spouse and a certified master cake designer with a passion for all things delicious. Also affectionately known as ‘The Cake Lady”, she is not only the owner and operator of Bucketheadz Southern Home Cookin’ but also Trinity’s Treats Custom Dessert Studio. Malaika takes pride in her craft, presenting beautifully made-from-scratch desserts at Trinity’s Treats and serving up good ol’ down home southern staples at BucketHeadz. The vision for Trinity’s Treats came while she was stationed in Montichiari, Italy which nourished both her love for arts and great cooking, so she worked and became certified in craft cake design in 2010.

Malaika is more than just a restauranteur, she is a staple of the community who is committed to the idea that “we are blessed so that we may be a blessing to others”. Trinity’s Treats works to give back to the community through participation and fundraisers for local non-profits. Malaika has designed cakes for military commanders, special events and USO tours, including the world renowned Harlem Globe Trotters. Her savory enterprise BucketHeadz is family affair devoted to sharing their traditions with the community. BucketHeadz is the name that Malaika’s father affectionately calls the grandkids, so it seemed appropriate for the name of the restaurant which serves up family style southern food, just the way her Granny did.
